ON 8 OCTOBER 1942

On 8 October 1942, a USAAF L-14 aircraft was damaged at Cooktown. Cause unknown. The wreck was given away.

I'm not sure if the aircraft involved in this crash was a Piper L-14 Grasshopper or maybe an L 14 Lockheed Super Electra. Perhaps the latter. Can anyone confirm?

ATTACHED IS ONLY PICTURE OF PIPER L-14 I COULD FIND.

CAN'T BE SAME AIRCRAFT, EVERYTHING I FIND SAYS L-14 WAS BUILT 1945. YOUR CRASH IS 42

NOT MANY BUILT.
