CRASH OF AN UNKNOWN AIRCRAFT
AT AN UNKNOWN LOCATION IN NORTH QUEENSLAND
BEFORE 4 JAN 1943

Some time before 4 January 1943, an aircraft of the 408th Bomb Squadron, of the 22nd Bomb Group crashed somewhere in north Queensland. William A. Pappano (0421301) was killed and was buried at the Townsville US War Cemetery on 4 January 1943.
Can anyone help me with more information on this crash?
