C-53 BOMBED BY JAPANESE AIRCRAFT
ON BATHURST ISLAND, NT
ON 20 FEBRUARY 1942

On 20 February 1942, a USAAF C-53 was bombed by Japanese aircraft on Bathurst Island, off the Northern Territory coastline.
This may be the same incident as when C-53 aircraft, #41-20051 made a forced landing on Bathurst Island on 4 February 1942.
