CRASH OF AN AIRCRAFT FROM 2 OTU
INTO LAKE VICTORIA, NSW
ON 19 JANUARY 1943

visits since 4 March 2001

On 19 January 1943 an aircraft (which type was it?) from No. 2 Operational Training Unit (2 OTU) based at Mildura, crashed into Lake Victoria in New South Wales while shadow shooting over the lake. The pilot, 22 year old Sergeant Herbert Thomas Tanser (411549) was killed in the crash.
