FORCED LANDING OF A WIRRAWAY
2 MILES EAST OF NORTH AERODROME
URANQUINTY, NSW, ON 31 MARCH 1942

Wirraway

On 31 March 1942 Wirraway A20-60 of 5 SFTS at Uranquinty, New South Wales made a forced landing due to an overheated engine 2 miles east of the north aerodrome at Uranquinty, New South Wales. The undercarriage and the airscrew were damaged in the forced landing.

Crew members LAC M.T. Foran (412240) and LAC B. Fuller (412427) were both uninjured in this incident.
