"Rhyndarra" was designed in 1888 by the well known Brisbane architect, Andrea Stombuco. "Rhyndarra" is located on the banks of the Brisbane River at Yeronga. The stables at "Rhyndarra" were soon turned into a classroom. In 1942 the stables became a Military Hospital and eventually became a Quarter Master's store for the military.

Stables at "Rhyndarra"
The Australian Army's 2nd Australian Women's Hospital moved from Redbank to "Rhyndarra" some time after January 1943.
In 1998 a new housing subdivision saw a new road built between the stables and "Rhyndarra" itself. In about the year 2000 the stables were refurbished and an extension added to convert the heritage-listed stables into a modernistic residence.
