Model CA-13 Boomerang, A46-159 (CAC Constructor's No. 982) of 83 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Mr. Pugh, crashed into the sea at North Boucaut Bay (11' 24" by 134' 32") on 29 May 1944 while on convoy duty.
The aircraft had been delivered to the RAAF in November 1943.
I would like to thank Phil Herdman of the Arnhem Land Historical Society for details on the above incident.
