Having just seen your http://www.st.net.au/~dunn/crashnt.htm as you have the date and serial number as unknown, I thought you may like to know what I have found out about that incident.

B25 D-10 'Mitchell' #41-30222 forced landing 25/1/1945, around 1:50pm; location about 60 miles west of Tennant Creek airfield

Crew of 5, incl Raymond E. Geer, USAF (Ret'd) Lt/Col.  1980 address: 19414 Willowcreek Grove, Sun City AZ 85373

Aircraft recovered 3-7June 1974 (recovered by Darwin Aviation Museum)

Hm, sorry, I'm not going to be a lot more help. I don't know the group etc; and those refs I saw on a visit to Darwin, when I viewed the aircraft on display there at the Darwin Aviation Museum -- presumably they're the place to turn to...

The file as I recall (some years now) wasn't all that thick -- a dozen or two pages maybe. (There was a clipping I think about that US crew member coming to have a look.)
