The Breakwater Battery Military Museum located at 2 Gloucester Bvd, Port Kembla is open on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, or by appointment. The Museum is run by a small group of volunteers. They would welcome more volunteers which would then allow them to open more often.
One of displays was donated by a crew member of the HMAS Gunbar. It comprises some of his souvenirs from the ship including a couple of white ensigns from the ship, his bosun's knife and call, and some associated paperwork. Some of these are included in a display on Port Kembla during WWII in the museum.
