The Esquire Theatre was located at 25 Cook Street, North Ward, in Townsville. It was located between Landsborogh and Stuart Streets in North Ward.

Tony Christensen told me that it had been shifted to that site in 1946, and that it was originally in the Sports Reserve. Tony thought that it was more likely that it was shifted from the military compound that was inside the grounds of the Townsville Grammar School and next door to the Sports Reserve.
