Gol Gol Gunnery range was located in New South Wales north east of No. 2 Operational Training Unit based at Mildura just over the border in Victoria.
On 23 September 1943, RAAF P-40 Kittyhawk A29-60 crashed at Gol Gol Gunnery Range, killing the pilot.
On 17 August 1943 Wirraway A20-545 crashed at Gol Gol Gunnery Range.
