ABATTOIRS AIR RAID SHELTERS
COLMSLIE, BRISBANE, QLD, DURING WW2

visits since 29 December 2005

There were air raid shelters cut into the steep cliff behind the Abattoirs at Colmslie (now Queensport) in Brisbane for use by the workers at the Abattoirs during WW2. The Bulk Sugar terminal (UBD Reference, Map 161, K2) now occupies the site of the former Abattoirs.
