Dear Sir

I am writing a book on my Grandmother's life. She grew up on the Atherton Tablelands and worked in Townville during the Second World War.

I am seeking photos and articles regarding the war in Townsville. Your "Townsville @ War" home page is quite informative, and I would like to seek further information, could you advise who else I could contact for this information.

I would like to thank you for the information provided on your site as well as any other information you could provide.

Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully

Mrs Jay Craig

Hi Peter

I have sent an email to my grandfather in America. He was in the US Air Force in Townsville during the war. His name was Charles Salli. I will pass any information he sends to me onto you.

He travels a lot, it may take time to receive this information.

Thank you for all your help and excellent web site.

Kind regards

Jay Craig

Hello Again

My Grandmothers name was Gladys May Davies, and her marital name was Salli.

Their farm was a dairy farm and there were nine children in the family, and her father died from meningitis and left the mother to care for the children and farm.

Maybe you know the name.

Kind regards

Jay Craig

I need your help
