VOLUNTEER AIR OBSERVER CORPS (VAOC) OBSERVATION POST
NOBBY'S HEAD, NEWCASTLE, NSW
DURING WWII

 

The Operation Record Book for 2 VAOC Sydney shows that there was a VAOC Observation Post at Nobby's Head, Newcastle in New South Wales during WWII. It was possibly manned by either AWAS associated with the Australian Army Radar on Nobby's Head or the two CASL Units on Nobby's Head or by Volunteer Defence Corps personnel on Nobby's Head.
