KING & KATTS
BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND
WORKED FOR THE 81ST AIR DEPOT GROUP DURING WW2
Local firm King & Katts in Brisbane, Queensland carried out repair, rebuilding and servicing of aircraft oil temperature regulators and radiators for the 81st Air Depot Group during WW2. They adapted an Automobile Repair shop to carry out this work.
The man in the front right of this photograph is Anton Katts. He
founded King & Katts having emigrated
from Russia in 1912 to Sydney and then Brisbane. His daughter was the composer
of "Never Never"
and "A Town Like Alice", two songs that contributed to Australia's musical and
cultural heritage.
