I have been told that there was an underground WW2 complex on Ingham Road between Ramsay St and Douglas St. at Garbutt It was said to be underneath what was later a large hardware shop after WW2. Apparently the Townsville Regional Electricity Board (TREB) had used the underground complex for storage of equipment after the war.
