UNIDENTIFIED " BUNKER" BEHIND STUART GAOL 
STUART, TOWNSVILLE, QLD
USED DURING WW2

There appears to be a concrete bunker on the small hill behind the Stuart Gaol at Stuart in Townsville. It appears to have ventilators on the roof. It is probably part of water or sewerage infrastructure.

Can anyone confirm whether this
was a WW2 Bunker and what it was used for?
