A detachment of 6 Battery Heavy Anti-aircraft relocated from Colmslie Heavy Anti-Aircraft Battery to the Battery at Amberley airfield. Terry Sullivan was a member of the group that moved to Amberley. He said they were the only anti-aircraft battery in the area to his knowledge at that point in time.
Terry Sullivan said that the Anti-aircraft Battery was located on Anti-aircraft Hill or maybe Battery Hill just past the old main gate off the road heading to Harrisville.
