ON 30 JANUARY 1944
AT MAREEBA AIRFIELD, QLD
Typical Boomerang
On 30 January 1944, RAAF Boomerang A46-56, CA-12 (CAC Constructor's No. 879), piloted by Pilot Officer Stephen Kent Biggs (432740) ground looped after brake failure at Mareeba Airfield in north Queensland. A46-56 had been delivered to the RAAF in March 1943.
