WACKETT MAKES FORCED LANDING AT MARYBOROUGH

The pilot of Wackett A3-34 made a skilful forced landing on the airfield at Maryborough on 6 December 1943, when he experienced loss of elevator control at 1,200 feet and used throttle, trim control and flaps to return.
