Peter,
I recently travelled to Geelong for the funeral of my uncle, William James Morrow, who served with 460 Squadron in WWII, and who was awarded the DFC. He was a humble man and never told anyone, inlcuding my father who served with 462, of why he was awarded the DFC. The reason for the award was hinted at during a eulogy, suggesting he put out a fire on a crippled aircraft. I am seeking information or a copy of his citation.
Are you able to help?
Kind Regards
Peter Lawrence (Bill's nephew)
