30 OTU

WELLINGTON

After just over two months with 81 OTU at Whitchurch he then went to 30 OTU at Hixon on 23 January 1944 for a course as an instructor on Wellington bombers. John always thought that this was a strange posting as he had never flown a Wellington before!
