CRASH OF A LOCKHEED VENTURA
AT BUNDABERG
ON 25 OCTOBER 1943

On 25 October 1943, RAAF Ventura, A59-51, ex Bu. 33316, c/n 5325, received minor damage at Bundaberg during a taxiing incident on a soft runway surface when the port undercarriage collapsed.

This aircraft had originally been received into the RAAF at 3AD on 23 June 1943. It was then received into 13 Squadron RAAF on 12 September 1943.

It was sent to D.A.P. for disposal from 2AD on 24 June 1948. Disposal action was completed on 6 September 1949.
