CRASH OF A PBY-5 CATALINA
AT BOWEN, QUEENSLAND
ON 14 SEPTEMBER 1943

PBY-5 Catalina, Serial No. 2424, VP-101 crash landed at Bowen, in Queensland, Australia on 14 September 1943 on return from a patrol. It skidded on landing after possible strike damage to the aircraft. There were no injuries.
