CRASH OF A BOOMERANG

5 MILES EAST OF CALOUNDRA

RAAF Boomerang, A46-108, CA-13 (CAC Constructor's No. 931), crashed into the sea 5 miles east of Caloundra on 10 November 1943. The pilot was F/Sgt Edward Lloyd Jones 420569 was killed in the crash. The aircraft was from 83 Squadron RAAF operating out of Strathpine airfield, in southern Queensland.

A46-108 was delivered to the RAAF in August 1943.
